First edition, with 8 beautiful double-page coloured and gold-heightened illustrations by Carl Otto Czeschka (1878-1960). This art edition of the famous German tale in Sezession style, is the best known book of Czeschka, an important member of the Wiener Werkstätte. The versatile painter and graphic designer was the art teacher of Oskar Kokoschka. N. 22 from the collection Gerlachs Jugendbücherei.
