Beautiful colour facsimile edition of the Northern France ms. held in the Russian National Library in St Petersburg. It is a description of a sumptuous joust festival that René d'Anjou (1409-1480) organised for his knights in 1448 in Saumur. All ff. are cut according to the original. One of 580 numb. copies (n. 194). With the accompanying Kommentarband and a finely executed translation vol. (2002) in French of that commentary volume, by Benoit Gobbe. Bookpl. B.
